Volleyball (Boys)

Welcome to the newest sanctioned sport in the spring. Boys volleyball debuted in 2022 after multiple seasons of development on the club level. Mullen will join the fray in 2023 with the opportunity for 23 regular-season matches. The Mustangs will be in the Centennial League with Cherokee Trail, Cherry Creek, Eaglecrest-Smoky Hill, Grandview, Littleton Public Schools, Overland and Valor Christian. Matches will be to 25 points using rally scoring and sets will be best-of-five (Game 5s will be to 15 points). Mullen's regular season will be March 3 through April 20. Regionals for the 72-team field in one classification will be April 29; 24 teams to qualify, three at eight sites. Eight teams will qualify for the Colorado Tournament May 5-6.

  • Ethan Saloom Joins Sports Performance

by: Hank Hooper, Associate Athletic Director
The introduction is overdue, but for the past 50+ days, Ethan Saloom has been pushing our kids to get better. He decided on building something – Athletes.

  • Mullen Extends Streak Against Golden

by: Hank Hooper, Associate Athletic Director
Did you know that the Mullen volleyball team in its five wins leading up to its match with Golden has not surrendered a single loss.  In their five wins, they are 15 and 0.  I wish that could be said for their other two matches, but unfortunately, the Mustangs were shut out in both those matches.  It is an interesting trend, nevertheless, and one that favors the Mustangs in their remaining non-league matches starting with Golden High School on Tuesday night.
